Zeughaus-Mensa Im Marstall in Heidelberg

The food is great and you always have a choice, also for vegetarians! Unfortunately, the atmosphere has been gone since Corona. I look forward to being able to eat normally in the cafeteria again.

Deserves the good reputation! The food here is better than what you are used to in canteens. The buffet looks fresh and offers a lot of choice; also on upscale dishes. There are always vegan options too. The cash desk staff is friendly and the hall is beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the Marstall is so popular that it is always very full. But if the weather allows it you can always sit outside. Under the trees in the green you can relax, eat and sit at group work.

Large selection of dishes, top quality for canteen meals at a fair price. You get full for 3 euros.

There is a good rule there (big hunger a lot of money, little hunger little money 😅😅) The food is sold here by weight. There is also a starter and dessert.

For me the Zeughaus-Mensa im Marstall outdoor cafeteria is the ideal Bavarian eating experience. Prices are not high, the variety of dishes is very appealing, and the beers are simply great!

Basically very good food at fair prices. However, during the Corona period, the vegetarian / vegan offer was unfortunately reduced significantly!

Delicious and cheap. Even as a non-student you can eat there and pay cash.

There's a buffet on one end and a cafe/ bar on the other. Staff were friendly and food was tasty. It's heavily discounted with mensa card but visitors pay full price. You can eat outdoors as well which is lovely.

Good prices, a bit loud but great for social gatherings.

Solid food, but from around 5 p.m. it gets too club-heavy and you can no longer learn.

Great buffet that is affordable with the Campuscard. Very nice and good, cheap bar. Unfortunately, due to the high ceilings, the acoustics were somewhat unfavorable and very loud, but still pleasant atmosphere. There are often special offers such as cinema or music at great admission prices or for free

The Marstall canteen is something special in Heidelberg. Very tasty food for little money and a great atmosphere. Otherwise, a cake bar, where you can also get beer or cocktails with which you can sit down comfortably. It's designed for students, as an outsider you pay a lot more for everything and probably don't find the atmosphere so nice. If you just want to have lunch there, you shouldn't come between 12.45 and 13.15, otherwise you have to wait very long.

A nice place to meet friends and have a coffee, beer or eat! If you're a college student you out cheaper.

One of the centers of student life. Cheap food and opens until late. Occasionally they show movies/football matches.

So much variety of very fresh food. Pay by weight, with different rates for students, professors, university employees and - like me - simple guests

It can be a bit full sometimes, especially in the winter, but the atmosphere here is good and the food is much better than at most cafererias - and very decently priced too!

As a student, who has already experienced other refectories, I have to say that the stables are very good. But I recommend to avoid the peak hours at noon. The choice of food and the price are really good and it always tastes delicious.

This is the best place to eat for students. You can chose whatever you'd like to eat and pqy as much as you put on your plate. Additionally offer a great location (beergarden ambiente during summer season) with a great bar that offers everything from coffee and mate to beer and cocktails.

Historic place, great food for a civil price for students. The atmosphere is student friendly with relaxed music. There is a lot of emphasis on organic food. Recommended the cake counter, there is also lactose-free milk for the coffee. Great cafeteria.

Heidelberg is a student cafeteria that many college students are looking for. Even if you are not a student, you can eat and use at a reasonable price. If the weather is nice, you can also relax on the outdoor terrace. Next to the cafeteria dessert is also very delicious

We were there with a student, absolutely great value for money. In fine weather, you can sit fine outdoors. Offers after a visit to the Friedrich Ebert memorial.
